MiFur is a group of people from the Midwest area who consider themselves furries. We get together on a semi-regular basis to share each others company, play some games, have some food, and enjoy a non judgmental environment with people of similar interests.
What the heck is a furry?
If you asked 10 different furries you would probably get 10 different answers. What it mainly boils down to is people who have an interest in anthropomorphic characters in literature and art. Many of us have our own personal character that we express through art, literature, role play, and costuming. For a more in depth description click here.
Ok, but who runs all this stuff?
No one person really runs MiFur. We are an informal organisation with no real leader. However many of the events are organised by Gir Tygrin or Nik Vulper. Anyone can run an event though! In fact its encouraged! If you have any questions about organizing an event please contact the admin.
A Word From The Admin
The only reason the MiFur community exists is because we constantly have new people joining up. If you even think it might be fun to meet some other furries in your area please get in touch with some of the locals. If you need a little help finding furs check out the MiFur Live Journal, maybe check out the member list, or just drop Gir (this site's administrator) an email and he will be friendly and helpful! I promise!
We love newcomers! Please get a hold of us! Have an idea for the site? A comment? A question perhaps? Thats great! We love feedback. The only way the site will get better is if the community participates. If you have any ideas for the web site, something to add to it, or if you would like to submit art for it or would like to lend a hand coding it just shoot an email to the admin.
