It went so well last year, let's do it again!

This meet will happen rain or shine.

Who: Everybody!

What: Fursuiting and Art Appreciation

Where: ArtPrize in Grand Rapids, MI www.artprize.org
Meet at Ah-Nab-Awen Park in front of the Gerald R. Ford Presidential Museum (they have free parking.) Map

When: Saturday, Sept. 22nd, at 11 am. This will give us enough time to suit up, wait for any stragglers, and maybe get a group photo in before ArtPrize officially opens for the day at noon.

Why: Because ArtPrize is awesome, and we'd make it even more awesome.

Tentative Schedule:
11 am: Meet at Ah-Nab-Awen Park.
12 pm- 6 pm: Fursuiting (weather permitting) and wandering around ArtPrize.
6 pm- whenever: Dinner (location TBA), afterparty at Chi's?

-Rain date for fursuits is Sunday the 23rd.

Anything else?: You should totally watch ArtPrize_Furs on FA http://www.furaffinity.net/user/artprizefurs. Just sayin'.

Last year's ArtPrize was probably my favorite furmeet of the year. I'll definitely be there this year too!

I missed out on the suiting last year, but I'm all for it doing it this year. I might even take teh day off from work so I don't have to go in and be all depressed cause my fun was cut short.

I have a GVSU football game that day (marching band) but if you do it in the morning, I can come for a bit :3 I missed last year's due to marching band as well...

I'm still hammering out times and such, but if last year's anything to go by, ArtPrize exhibits won't open until noon. The football game looks to be a night game, so you might be able to come out for a few hours.

Give me a time and I'll so be there and totally try dragging Toby (my wonderful mate) with me. I don't care what work says. I'm taking the day off. That also means I should get my tail in gear and finish remaking my fursuit. ^_^ I have the tail and hand paws done. Need arms, feet paws, head and body suit done. (Totally making a full suit this time though I might not have the body suit done by the time art prize comes around.)

Hmm. I've always wanted to look at Art Prize with my eyes. I wouldn't know if I could go until closer to the actual date, though. If anyone from the east side is planning on going, I would be willing to carpool.

Good looking schedule, looking forward to every minute of it. I won't be needing hotel room space because it's looking like I'll be living in the downtown GVSU dorms again this year. But I'll definitely join in on the hotel room fun until drunk o'clock. :3

Lookin' like I will only be able to make it to the stuff later in the day on Saturday. Since Amur's takin' the day off from work and the other person they have doing our same job has the day off as well, I don't think the guys would be able to handle having only one girl the entire day.

But I'll be able to hang out Sunday after I get laundry done.

Count me in! That's the start of my vacation from work. Sounds like a lot of fun. I missed last years Artprize meet, but I should be able to make it to this one without a problem.

I definitely would love to see some fursuiters and I'm cool with getting some foodz and stuff. I dunno if I'll stay for drunk o'clock though. I also don't plan on staying overnight.

I am SO coming to ArtPrize, however I'm not staying at the hotel as I live only an hour away. I so hope for weather permitting since last year my illness was not permitting. I believe Inola is carpooling with me.

Looks like we're going to have quite the turnout for this! Feel free to invite any other furries you know; the more, the merrier.

There doesn't seem to be a lot of interest in the hotel rooms, but I will wait until the 15th in case any far-flung furries pop up and say they need the crash space. If no one else responds, I will cancel the rooms and arrange some nice dining possibilities for us. Anyone have any preferences? (If we want to eat downtown, I would like to go somewhere that takes reservations so that we won't have to wait hours for a table; if not, there are plenty of places outside of downtown to eat.)

I should probably mention that I will not be staying at the hotel. I have another get together I need to attend in the evening.

Also, I have some friends/family that may show up to see us all in our suits. Is there a time and place we could meet them so we don't have to go hunting downtown? Or should could we linger in the park around noon and just tell them to meet us there? I don't want to put anyone out. ^ ^
