Take me out to the ball game

I don't really consider myself a baseball fan, but I have enjoyed going to a few games over the years and I was thinking it might be fun to see if anyone else would be interested in going and watching the White Caps play sometime over the summer.

I think they do group discounts at the ball field. And while I'm not sure what the requirements are, when there's enough interest I'll go to the ball park and see about that. And I'll ask if they'd let us come in with suits on.

For those not familiar with the GR area, the White Caps are the local minor league team that usually feeds into the Tigers. They play home games at 5/3 ballpark which is just north of GR off 131. I would probably be looking at getting lawn seats, cause I think they're a bit cheaper. But I don't remember for sure because I haven't been to a game in like 5 or 6 years at least.

I think this would be a fun and hilarious meet to attend. It would be interesting to see interactions between the fursuiters and the mascots. =^_^= I would totally want to steal my mom's camera if this comes about.

This is a unique idea and I think it'd be pretty cool to try out.  You'll have to figure out a few things, though:

• How long will we be in suit, and during what part(s) of the game?  Before? Between innings? After?
• Where can we change without ruining the magic?
• Is there any sort of theme day (they seem to have a lot of those) where this would be especially appropriate?

And, as you said, we'd need to see if Fifth Third would even let us suit.

I also know that Spor and Chrono are both trying to plan multiple meets in the GR area in August.  We'll need to figure out who's hosting what and when.  This is one of those times that I wish half of West Michigan hadn't disappeared from the forums...
