Grand Rapids general meet planning thread

Exactly what it says.  I'm not trying to steal anyone's thunder here - it's just that so many folks have so many ideas, and nobody seem to be talking to each other, so I thought it'd be nice to lay everything out and see what we've got so that the first two meets in several months aren't on the same weekend again.   :P

The following meets have been planned or talked about in West Michigan:
  • Iudicium86's bowling/possible house party thing on July 28
  • Smoketail's Whitecaps baseball game TBD
  • Spor is planning both a Michigan's Adventure or Cedar Point meet, and a disc golfing meet, in mid- to late-August
  • Chrono has two meet ideas, I think bowling and Craig's Cruisers, for August or September
  • Wolftailz has talked about doing another John Ball Zoo meet.
So, uh, post if there are any ones you're extra interested in, or any dates are bad for you in general, or if you have news about any of these, I guess?

I'd be interested in having another John Ball Zoo meet.  Maybe around the start of the Fall semester when the Grand Valley furs all trickle back to GR.

We did a John Ball meet last year for the Zoo Boo, which was like the last weekend before Halloween, I think. And that was fun.

I do plan on having a housewarming party when we get our new home. I will keep you all updated on that :)

My meet planning has grinded to a hault thanks to work screwing me over on my vacation.  I may still look to do a disk golf meet in late August if I and when I get back into GR.

I will be going to the artprize meet. Thats the start of my vacation at work. :D

As for my meet ideas, I still plan on doing a bowling meet just south of Grand Rapids; probably at Woody's and Spectrum Lanes right in front of Craigs Cruisers up on Clyde Park and 54th ST. I'm shooting for early October around my birthday. I'll make a posting once I get more details down.
